Students staged a protest against foreign forces for detaining their schoolmates and teachers in northeastern Badakhashn province on Thursday
The nighttime raids carried out by American forces in Afghanistan's northeastern Badakhshan Province.
A large number of students took to the streets on Thursday and chanted anti-US slogans.
The protestors said US forces detained 6 people, four university professors and two students, during an operation Wednesday night.
The Afghan police forces intervened and fired into the air to disperse the students.
However, the protesters vowed to continue their protest until the detainees are released.
A resident said that six civilians who detained by US forces were in a house discussing with each other about the wedding preparation when US helicopters appeared on the sky and some troops on the ground surrounded the house and detained them.
