A day after Syrian Prime Minister Riad Hijab defected and accused President Bashar al-Assad of leading a “terrorist regime,” Syrian government forces continue their assault on the rebel-held areas of the country’s biggest city, Aleppo.

Syrian coward regime spreads propaganda that the Free Syrian army is battle fatigued, outnumbered and running low on ammunition while the battle still rages on and the Free Syrian army control half of the Aleppo and fighting is taking place in other parts of Syria, too.

In Idlib Free Syrian army and Assad’s troops engaged in street combat.

Because of the situation in Syria it is difficult to independently verify reports coming out of the country, but it appears that all normal activity has ceased and the city is now a battleground.

Zabadani and Talbiseh are also under attack from regime-launched missiles.

It is estimated that more than 20,000 people have been killed since the uprising began in March 2011, with tens of thousands more fleeing the violence.

Neighbouring Turkey says that close to 50,000 Syrians have crossed the border and are living in temporary camps.
